Our staff

Steven Read, DC

Dr. Read graduated from the world’s oldest and most prestigious chiropractic college, Palmer Chiropractic College in Davenport Iowa in 1987.

Dr. Read grew up in DuBois, PA. He wrestled collegiately and attend Penn State University. He has also served in the Army Reserves.

He has acquired extensive post-graduate training in the evaluation and treatment of automobile accident related injuries. Considered by the courts to be an expert witness, he has had several opportunities to testify on behalf of his patients.

On most weekend, Dr. Read can be found camping or riding a dirt bike.

George (Adam) Jakubek, DO

Dr. Jakubek completed his undergraduate studies at Saint Vincent College in Latrobe, PA. He received his Doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine.

He did his residency in Neurology at Walter Reed Military Hospital. He is currently serving actively at NAS JAX . He is one of 25 active duty neurologists.

He is also an Assistant Professor of Neurology at the F. Edward Hebert School of Medicine – Uniformed Services University.

Dr. Jakubek specializes in brain injuries and PTSD.

Jim Diesen, DC

Dr. Diesen graduated from Logan College of Chiropractic. Growing up in Southern Illinois, just outside of St. Louis he is an admitted Cardinal fanatic. Being in Florida he now obsesses over the Jaguars and Gators. He loves spending time with his new rescue dog.. Lucas, an Australian Shepherd.

He spends much of his time researching new advancements in patient care. Dr. Diesen is responsible for introducing new protocols in the evaluation of whiplash injuries to Jacksonville. He also teaches of health care providers these same protocols.

Pam Mobarak

Pamela Mobarak has been our office manager for over 12 years. Previously she worked as a claims analyst for Blue Cross Blue Shield. She has an extensive background in insurance billing and is always willing to assist you in any situation you might have with your insurance company or attorney.

Pam is an avid animal lover.

Janie Swanson, LMT (MA65258)

After serving our country for 20 years in the Navy, Janie decided to become a
Massage Therapist. She joined our team here at OCC in November 2011.

She enjoys working closely with our patients and helping them when
they are in need.

On her time off, she and her husband Ken enjoy spending time at
their lake house fishing.
